Rubber Curtain Material

Tough and reliable, Hörmann’s fiber-reinforced rubber curtain materials perform in the most extreme industrial environments the likes of mining, composting, and waste management.  It effectively contains odors, stands up to corrosive applications, and can withstand vehicle impact undamaged, as the door is easily reset and functioning again within minutes.

NEWGEN aluminum guides with integrated light curtain

The patented NEWGEN® guide has been a key element of Hörmann’s rubber door rugged reliability for the past two decades. Extruded aluminum guides ensure consistent curtain release when the door is impacted while significantly reducing reset time and cost since no guide gap maintenance is required.

The aluminum guides include an integrated channel for our new 92 inch high monitored light curtains. This ensures safe, consistent operation, and protects the light curtains from damage.

Hörmann’s patented pivoting aluminum bottom bar is featured on the full-line of new HD SERIES doors. This innovative and aesthetically pleasing design performs dependably in all types of environments, including those with high wind, without the need for a traditional wind bar.

Contactor controls for a low-cost drive system

Increasingly, end users are looking for the reliability and minimal maintenance designs that a Hörmann door system offers.

This basic HD SERIES chain-drive model uses a simple control box with contactors and a low cost right-angle gearhead operator, for a rugged, low cost, spring-counterbalanced door solution, fully supported by the Hörmann Service Support App.

Unbeatable Warranty

A chain-drive, spring counterbalanced design with standard 50,000 cycle springs provides a dependable economy door system.  Competitive models have springs with a 20,000 cycle capability as standard, and higher cycle springs are optional add-ons.

Radar / Motion Detector

• Activates when equipment or personnel enter the detection area.

• A loop wire field is installed below the floor’s surface and generates a magnetic field sensitive to metal objects.

Remote Control

• Effective at a range of up to 60 feet.

• Transmitters are available to activate up to 27 doors with one transmitter.

Touchless Activation Switch

• Sterile alternative to manual activation devices.

• Surface or flush mountable. Water resistant. Detection zone adjustable from 4 – 24 inches.
