Innovative frameless panel sections allow for maximum transparency of 90 percent.  Constructed of robust polycarbonate, the TurboLux can withstand the demands of rough, everyday industrial use.

The non-contact coiling assembly is pre-assembled for fast and cost-effective installation.  With a service life of more than 1 million cycles, the TurboLux is almost completely maintenance free. The non-contact coiling assembly and the internal operator of the Hörmann TurboLux high-speed doors are protected from dust, moisture and damage by a transparent shaft cover.

Light Curtain Protects and Minimizes Downtime

The SG 5040 TurboLux has a light curtain with a particularly small beam spacing of only 1-3/4″ (45 mm).  This tight tolerance of light beams reliably detects obstacles up to an opening height of 8’2″ (2500 mm) before a collision can occur.  When light beams are interrupted, the door brakes gently and with little wear thanks to the soft stop function.

Long Service Life and High Efficiency

The variable frequency drive (VFD) guarantees nearly wear-free, quiet door travel, and takes stress off the entire door system.  The smooth starting and braking action considerably extends the service life of the door.
