Extra Large Sprung Drive Rubber Door

Heavy manufacturing, steel, pulp & paper, waste management, oil & gas, and mining are common industries that specify the HDXL.
Suitable for applications up to 47 feet wide and 45 feet high, the HDXL is equipped with a high-performance helical gearhead operator, which opens the door at a speed of up to 12 inches per second. The drive system is controlled by a programmable PLC and contactors. This versatile PLC controller, in a NEMA 4 enclosure, allows for easy addition of a variety of activation and safety devices often required in challenging environments.
Guide tracks are constructed of self-supporting tubular steel with 6 inch aluminum NEWGEN guides, and a counterbalance spring assembly includes 50,000 cycle springs, which accommodates moderate cycles with minimal maintenance.

The HDXL features a patented pivoting bottom bar assembly which pivots when the curtain is exposed to high wind load or positive pressure. This clever design enables the door to easily open and close without binding in the guides or causing excessive wear on the curtain.

A chain-drive, spring counterbalanced design with standard 50,000 cycle springs provides a dependable, extra large door system. Competitive models have springs with a 20,000 cycle capability as standard, and higher cycle springs are optional add-ons. Limited lifetime warranty on the rubber curtain.
