How to Fix Uneven or Sagging Garage Doors

Uneven Door Track and Panels

The first thing to do is determine if the problem is with your garage door or with its tracks. The track is what holds up your door and allows it to move up and down smoothly. If you notice that one side of the track has sunken into the floor, then this is likely what’s causing your doors to sag on one side.

To fix this issue, simply remove some of the screws that are holding together pieces of wood in place (usually two per board) until only four remain attached per board: two at each end with no gaps between them; then remove those remaining four screws and replace them with longer ones, so there isn’t any space between each piece anymore.

You’ll also want to check if any panels are unevenly spaced apart from each other by measuring between opposite sides of each panel’s edge while they’re lying flat on top of one another; if there’s more than 1/16th inch difference between measurements taken at opposite ends, then adjust accordingly until everything lines up properly again before reattaching any hardware back onto both sides simultaneously using either glue or nails depending upon which method works best for your situation

Then, release your grip and see how long it takes for the other side of your garage door to hit its stop point.

If this happens in less than three seconds, then there’s probably no problem with your spring set-up; however, if it takes longer than that—or if there’s any noticeable bounce after releasing pressure from both sides—then chances are good that some work needs doing on those springs (or perhaps other parts).
